What’s the Story?
Meet Victoria— a teacher by day, a quizzer by night, and a loner always. This trivia-loving teacher has had enough. Bullied by her head teacher and denied time off for the biggest quiz of the year, she does what any desperate quizzer might: fake an problem that requires surgery. But her plan spirals into chaos, and what follows is a hilarious, poignant journey of self-discovery, resilience, and a few very questionable quiz questions.
A Quizzical Life is a darkly funny, emotionally rich novel about a socially awkward teacher who risks everything to chase her dream of becoming a quiz champion. With a limp, a crutch, and a head full of trivia, she sets out to escape a toxic job and a dysfunctional, crumbling family life. But when everything goes wrong—including the quiz itself—she’s forced to confront what really matters.

Originally published in 2020, but not having the time to advertise a book which resonates loudly with my own character, it stalled in the blocks.
